It Can Be Hard to know what to do if you have noticed Changes in yourself or a family member or friend — especially when they are related to thinking memory loss or behavior. It’s natural to feel uncertain about expressing your worries because that will make them look “real.” However, these are significant health issues, and it is important to take actions to determine what’s happening.
Assess the situation
1) What changes in memory, thinking or behavior do you notice?
2) What have you noticed that is out of the normal and causing concern?
What else is happening?
Various ailments can cause long-term or short-term memory loss and influence thinking or behavior. Are there any health or lifestyle problems that might be a variable? These could include health problems or family stressors like depression or diabetes.
Has anyone else noticed changes?
Has a relative or friend expressed concerns? What did she or he notice?

Start a dialogue
Who should participate in the conversation to go over concerns?
If you have noticed changes on your own, confide in a person you trust. If you’ve noticed changes in somebody else could be you, a trusted relative or friend or a blend of those individuals.
